About SLANT 45

SLANT 45 – short for Service Learning Adventures in North Texas – is the youth education initiative of the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee. SLANT 45 will be one of the largest communitywide service–learning programs for children in U.S. history and the largest in NFL history. Since early 2010, over 44,140 elementary age students logged a combined 446,000 hours of service in more than 100 communities, changing the face of the region. Participating students and future leaders will take ownership of their communities and project a vision for the future that is optimistic in tone and inspirational in character.

George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura W. Bush are honorary chairs of SLANT 45 and proudly support the initiatives of Texas youth.
